User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_5) AppleWebKit/536.28.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.3 Safari/536.28.10 Steps to reproduce: I selected a message in the inbox summary window. Actual results: The wrong message appears in the bottom message window. Expected results: It should have shown the selected message. This has been a problem for some time in Thunderbird - it seems like the screen does not refresh properly when a new message is selected. If I select another message and select the original message, thereby forcing an update, the proper message does show. Attached is a screenshot that shows the message selected in the upper window is not the same as the message displayed. I use a Mac running Lion 10.7.

The log seems not to contain anything useful. Can you backup the file containing the folder (see Folder -> right click -> properties -> Location for the path)? Then you can try Folder -> right click -> properties -> Repair folder.

Wow! Fantastic support! I am learning some interesting things about Thunderbird... and I am a fairly experienced user. I ran repair on a few folders. Let's see what happens over the next few days. I thought the problem was more related to updates of the screen when the link to the imap server becomes slow. I'll update you in a day or so.

Same problem after a repair on the folder.
Ok, so is the problem that a wrong message is shown in the preview? Or that the previous message is still shown in the preview?

The correct message is shown in the preview, but the incorrect message is shown in the lower message window. The message shown is the previous message I was looking at. The problem seems to be the screen is not updating properly.
