The average plot sometimes displays two points aligned vertically for the current day. There should only be one point per day.

This doesn't seem to happen constantly - looks like it depends on the ping time. Checking at a few different times, sometimes I saw it, sometimes not. This is related to what was observed in Bug 856855. 

Attached are two screenshots (from yesterday and from today) for the same profile, and the latest JSON.

Providing initial triage, but I am not the final say.

I have also seen a double point on a single X axis, but it went away today.

Since we have a JSON to reproduce, I think we should block beta at least until we understand what part of the JSON is causing it and can make a guess about how often it might happen in the wild.

Can't repro this now, and looking at the PRs and work done on this part of the code today, I think we may have fixed it as a side effect. Reopen if you observe it happening again.
