I installed Adobe Reader XI (11.0.02), which has a navigator.plugin[].name "Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in, Version 11.0.02". Plugin Check does not recognize this plugin name: Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in, Version 11.0.02 Adobe® Acrobat® Plug-in for Web Browsers, Version 11.0.02 Unknown plugin But Plugin Check recommends I "upgrade" to Adobe Reader 9.3: Notice: Adobe recommend Acrobat Reader 9.3 But when I click on the Acrobat Reader 9.3 link, Firefox is redirected to Adobe's Reader XI (11.0.02) page where I installed Reader in the first place.
