User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0
Build ID: 20130326150557

Steps to reproduce:

**The links for "Learn more" do not function.**

Updated win32 release version 19.0.2 to 20.0 using Help:About Firefox:Update; with new version there is a new tab in the Tools:Options:Advanced called "Data Choices" where you can enable or disable Telemetry and/or Crash Reporter.

Actual results:

Performed manual update by going to Help:About Firefox and using the "Check for Updates" option. The update configuration is "Check for updates, but let me choose when to install them" - I had not yet been notified about the update on this browser but knew it was available having updated other machines.

This broken link issue is not present on any of the other machines updated to 20.0.

*A test was done with all plugins and add-ons disabled and the same behavior exists.*

*Tested in Firefox Safe Mode and problem persists.*

Please note that other links in Help:About Firefox are usable. The only identifiable problem is in the Data Choices tab.

Expected results:

Learn More links in the Tools:Options:Advanced:Data Choices tab should open links accordingly.

I was unable to reproduce this issue. The "Learn more" links are working for me, but the "Learn more" from Crash Reporter opens the page on it's top and it's not focused on the Crash Reporter info, even though the link indicated this (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/legal/privacy/firefox.html#crash-reporter).
Component: Untriaged → Preferences
After upgrade to 20.0.1, problem still exists.
Does the problem reproduce with a new profile (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles)?

I'm sorry it took so long to reply.

No, the problem does not exist with a new profile; this is only with existing profiles that have existed as the *only profiles* on each machine during the update process to 20.0 and staying through 20.0.1.

Issue persists into 21.0.
Persists into 22, 23. Since no one cares about this, may as well be closed out. It must be a personal problem.
The link cannot work, for nobody, because the section "Crash Reporter" on the web page "Privacy Policy" does not have an id defined for that section. It is not possible to directly jump to that section with an URL.

In version 26 the tab "Data Choices" has three parts, instead of two. All three have links "more info", that point to sections of the web page "Privacy Policy". Two of these links jump directly to their respective section, but the link for "Crash Reporter" instead jumps to the start of the web page, because the id "crash-reporter" is not defined in the html-source of that page.
These may be two different issues.

One is that only in one certain user profile this link does not work at all.

The other issue is that the link points to a certain id, because it should jump to a certain section on that web page, but that id is not declared in that web page. So this cannot function correctly for anybody.
Opened separate bug 961419 for second issue, which was first mentioned in comment 2 here, but is not what the original poster was reporting, see comment 4.
