Steps to reproduce:
When I opened a message with a body that contains characters in a different encoding than mentioned in the Content-Type header, I could fix this by changing "View -> Character Encoding" to the desired value.
Actual results:
As soon as I went to "File -> Print Preview", the changed encoding was lost, preview showed the message with the default encoding according to the Content-Type again.
Expected results:
Of course you can blame the author of the message for wrong encoding, but as it is possible to change the encoding for viewing the message, it should be possible for printing the message, too.
I found several similar bugs, one of the earliest being reported back in 2001. But that's 12 years ago and it wasn't for Thunderbird, but for the huge Mozilla Suite. So this bug should really be created just for Thunderbird (and hopefully be worked on earlier than in another 12 years).
