Steps to reproduce:

- Download any file. Example: Ubuntu
- Stop the download.


Actual results:

The temporary file (.part) is not deleted when the download stops or is empty history if you install G-Data Antivirus


Expected results:

Once the download is stopped, the temporary file (.part) is deleted.

Firefox 19 and earlier the bug is not reproduced

Bug reproduced with 100% G-Data Antivirus installed.

Another weird thing, if you stop the download and delete the partial file, you can always resume the download.

There's no fix about the download panel in 20.0.1. See bug 858634.

Hi Reporter,

I have tested this issue on the latest Firefox (45.0) release, latest Nightly (48.0a1 Build ID: 20160316030233) build, but I could not reproduce it. I have downloaded Ubuntu, the download starts and the "ubuntu.iso", "ubuntu.iso.par" files appear in the specific download folder. After I have canceled the download, both files were deleted.

Is this still reproducible on your end ? If yes, can you please retest this using latest Firefox release and latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results ? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/PNe90E).

Considering the fact that I cannot reproduce this and the fact that the reporter did not answered to my request until now, I will mark this as Resolved-Worksforme.
If anyone can still reproduce it, feel free to reopen the issue and provide more information.
