85816 - Mail send slow, prevents browser window operation

For the last couple of weeks, every send of a mail message is VERY slow (several
minutes).  During this interval, no browser window can successfully fetch and
display a web page.  If I abort the mail send, the browser is hosed and will not
fetch pages any more.

This is not a problem with my mail server (@Home), netscape sends mail quickly.

This happens on EVERY send, for every build the last couple of weeks.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Send mail message
2.Watch it take forever and ever
3.Watch all browser windows fail to work

Actual Results:  SLOOOOWWWW mail sends, corrupted browser engine.

Expected Results:  Quick sends, with no impact on browser

This is a dual PIII 550MHz machine running 2.4.4 kernel and SuSE 7.0.
