Details
(Keywords: hang)
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0
Build ID: 20121119183901
Steps to reproduce:
1. The system automatically update my Firefox into 20.0 version
2. I click on the icon of Firefox to launch the program.
Actual results:
Seconds after the Firefox started run, the program completely froze.
I can't switch between tabs, nor close a tab.
In addition, I can't close a window of Fireforx nor the program itself.
I can only force the program to end by using Window's Task Manager.
Expected results:
After launching the program, Firefox should run smoothly without freezing like the above.
Do you get the startup hang if you start firefox is safe mode?

No, I've never start up Firefox in Firefox's safe mode, nor computer's safe mode.
I've also check the adds-on, I only enable Realplayer Download Manager, Save as file name, Flashgot. These three are the only adds-on I use.

Didier, please try to start Firefox in safe mode, to see if you still reproduce the issue.
Could you please also try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles ?
