Talked about this with some QA folks and Alex about this - we would like to add a ? value to the status flags (e.g. status-firefox20, status-b2g18) in the tracking flags to allow designation that someone is requesting a certain bug to be checked if it reproduces on a certain Firefox release. Example use case demonstrating this:
I file a bug about the camera API not working on trunk in Firefox 22. We know this feature is enabled in Firefox 20 and 21, but we don't know if this bug reproduces on those branches, but would like to know. I then set the status-firefox22 to affected and status-firefox20 & status-firefox21 to ?. A QA then queries on these flags and sets the flags appropriately based on the results of testing to determine if the branch is affected or not.
The motivation behind this is to allow easy declaration by release management for an alternative branch reproduction & allow QA to query easily to determine which bugs need reproductions on alternative branches.
added "?" to the following fields:
- status-firefox20
- status-firefox21
- status-firefox22
- status-firefox23
- status-b2g18
- status-b2g18-v1.0.0
- status-b2g18-v1.0.1
