1. Title : No information about low battery status
2. Precondition :
3. Tester's Action : I have low battery status, but no information appear about that
4. Detailed Symptom (ENG.) : No information about low battery status
5. Expected : Consumer should be informed about low battery status

Our idea:
If need to show popup about some status,
1. dispatch event from gecko/firmware to gaia
2. observe these events in system app of gaia
3. show modal dialog with nofification string

low battery is one of many case.
Please consider these popup/notification support.

Triage 4/10 - leaving leo? for later decision base on UX feedback.

Hi Josh, is this a missed implementation or was this not planned?

Adding qawanted to help test the Description on a LG device, we believe we already have this functionality and not sure if its only an issue with leo devices.
Clearing needinfo for Josh since we do already have UX for low battery, we just need to understand if it's working or not.

Blocking+. Possibly a regression.

If QA finds it's working, please close the bug.

We have low battery notification when < 10%.
See gaia system app/battery manager.
Naoki, can you please check if this bug happens on the Unagi, too?

There's a low battery threshold that gets used at 10 % in gecko, it causes the phone to auto dim right away.
https://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-b2g18/ident?i=LOW_BATTERY_THRESHOLD

We don't show a notification that stays, it's an overlay that dismisses itself:
https://mxr.mozilla.org/gaia/source/apps/system/index.html?force=1

I think we should have a notification that stays....
Whiteboard: [TD-8989] → [TD-8989], uxwanted
The main reason why I bring this up is because I overshot and missed seeing the overlay and was wondering why it kept auto dimming until I realized I overshot to 4% usage.
Best way to get the battery down that I could find so far... leave the camera/video app open with wifi, mobile data, music app running, and bluetooth on with the highest brightness. If there's a way to discharge the battery faster, I would <3 to know.
Removing uxwanted per Dylan's comment 3, to move this out of our UX triage queue.
