Shrirang,
If you get a chance, can you re-test with a more recent trunk build? Sounds like
a 4.x stream buffer curruption issue that I think is all resolved now. Thanks.

Windows 98SE; Mozilla trunk 2002 041203; Windows Media Player 7.01.00.3055.
1. Go to http://www.gateway.com/home/deals/offers/music/dmz.shtml.
2. Click the "TV Advertisement" link, which for me points to
http://wm.gateway.na-regional.speedera.net/wm.gateway.na-regional/SundownC.asf.
I get a dialog: You have chosen to download a video/x-ms-asf file (Windows Media
Audio/Video Shortcut).
3. Select "Open using ASXFile".
Windows Media Player will open but say "Invalid or corrupt data was
encountered". Works fine if I follow the same steps using Internet Explorer,
Netscape 4, but similarly broken in Opera 6.

I still see this on 2002 041503, Windows 98.
Beppe: WORKSFORME means "All attempts at reproducing this bug were futile".
This bug was reported a long time ago but has a confirming comment from two days
ago, and you did not give a reason to believe that the bug had been fixed in the
last few days, so WFM is not appropriate.

Using the test cases provided, using the current build available, using the
latest supported windows media plug-in, in this instance the application worked
as expected, which would be a works for me
