Steps to reproduce: 1. Install Firefox for Android 22.0a1(2013-04-01)(where patch for Bug 765155 was not implemented.) 2. Go to about:firefox page and update to latest version: Firefox for Android 23.0a1(2013-04-08). Expected results: The icons for the addons are displayed. Actual results: The icons for the addons are not displayed. Note: This issue is intermittent, and is not reproducing at all after a fresh install of the latest Firefox for Android 23.0a1.
There is a cache in the profile, recommended-addons.json, which holds the information about the add-ons we display in the Home page. This cache is recreated once a day, or so, and will need to be recreated for the add-on icons to be visible. This bug should be a WFM, but I'll wait to let you verify that the cache updates and the icons are visible.
