Steps to reproduce:

I moderate a Russian maillist based on QMail. Emails come to moderators as attachments.

When I open an email from attachment, I see it OK. When I press Reply or Forward, email text becomes garbage.


Actual results:

See attached screenshot. First email is an original email opened from attachment. Second is new email I've got when I pressed Reply.

This bug exists for as many years as I use Thunderbird. I need to reply maillist users every day so I'm really sick of it.

Could you upload a mail file (.eml) as attachment with which you can reproduce it?

Can you reproduce it when you disable the preview pane and then restart Thunderbird (see bug 715823 workaround)?

I believe this issue has been fix in TB 45. Also, the reporter hasn't answer the NI, so let's close this bug. Please reopen if the problem still persists.
