The Sawara uses ALSA for sound output. All branches of alsa-sound are JB-based, so we'll probably need JB support for sound.
Depends on: gonk-jb

Hi, Our audio playback is through openSL ES so if sawara's NDK already provided implementation on openSL ES then playback should be ready without modification.

Thanks for the info. What I mean is that the audio driver is implemented in the Linux kernel's ALSA system. Libstagefright needs to be compiled with ALSA support if we want to play sound, such as MP3 files, in the media player. This code is for JB.

FxOS used libstagefright through OMX API for media decoding only and didn't play audio through libstagefright directly. So maybe your problem is on supporting new OMX APIs from JB on FxOS. Or could you give more info about this? Thanks.
