When the "show only subscribed folders" button is unchecked (so that all folders
are shown), a folder called "~" (pointing to the users home directory) appears.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Uncheck the "show only subscribed folders" button in the IMAP server configuration

Expected Results:  Folder "~" doesn't appear

Confirmed on my machine. Linux build 20010710.
The IMAP server is running on my own PC, and there is no discrete directory
named "~".

Clarifying my comments before:
I am seeing this same bug in linux build 20010710.
It is showing a directory called "~" which is referring to my home directory.
I don't have a separate directory with the name "~".

  I was seeing this as well (currently under 2001122208 in WinXP, but I've seen
it for a while).  I'm guessing UW-IMAP is putting it in the folder list..  Here
are the steps I took to get it out of my folder list:

  Under Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings -> Server Settings -> Advanced, I
removed "~" from the Other Users box, and *IMPORTANT* unchecked the "Allow
Server to Override these namespaces" box.  Without unchecking this box the ~
wouldn't go away.  If I re-check the "allow server" box, but don't put the ~
back in the Other Users area, it still reappears.  This leads me to believe it's
something the server is putting there, or at least Mozilla is misinterpreting
something the server sends.

  My IMAP server is UW-IMAP 2001.293 (one of the 2001 betas if I recall) under
Redhat Linux 7.0.  Hopefully this info helps...  If any of you guys want a test
account on my server to attempt to reproduce this just let me know.

The tilde is a Unix/Linux abbreviation meaning the home directory. It does not refer to a separate directory with the explicit name "~".

This is not a bug => INVALID.
