So that shadow should be dropped completely? To confirm, here's a screenshot showing the phone with (left) and without (right) that shadow.

for clarity... 
there is a reflection and a shadow in that image... the shadow appears in the other layouts of the phone while the reflection does not.

the reflection, the hard edged shape on the underside of the phone, should be removed from the png.
the shadow, the soft blurry edged bits, should remain.
