Translate simple flow we determined at work week into working form on comp with omnigraffle. First iteration is actually complete (see attachment).

Looking good. A few things:

-I'd like to explicitly identify that this flow originates from a challenge page
-also that a user must explicitly click a button/choose to submit pledge evidence
-in the step where you have "Badge gets displayed in user's dashboard", should also have as step before "user offered to push badge to their backpack/collect their badge"

Updated badge flow with color and a legend to identify what is a user task and what is a system task. Regarding Brett's feedback from Comment 1, I thought I'd already explicitly pointed out this originated from a challenge page as well as that the user is submitting evidence... but I did change the language. We could use another flow for the process of that submission, but I think that wil become evident in the UI. As for last point - not sure if I understand the "backpack" concept clearly so please look at that section again carefully. Thanks!

Cassie, best if you set the needinfo flag to point at someone in particular so this ends up on someones dashboard vs. being a general ask.

Hi, Cassie.  So yes I spoke to the badges team about this and there are a couple of things we need to reflect:

-I think we actually need to flows - one for badges that have a direct 1challenge:1badge relationship, and another flow for cumulative badges, where you need to complete several challenges to earn a badge

-In the step that indicates "evidence goes to mentor for approval", we should update this flow to indicate that this process actually happens in a seperate app that the badges team is building called "Aestemia".  The mentor approval process will happen there.  Once it's approved, Aestemia will notify Webmaker, and we'll trigger the appropriate notifications and updates to a user's profile

Given the need to move with urgency on the /party wireframes and build, I'm going to take this off of this week. Hope that makes sense!
