User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0
Build ID: 20130329030832

Steps to reproduce:

Go to sites with background images e.g.
http://carfreaks.net/
http://www.twelve-restaurant.co.uk/

Actual results:

The background images on these sites are not visible until first repaint caused by pan or zoom.

I've prepared a simple test page (see attachment) where this bug is reproducible.
If the page is loaded from local storage the background is visible. The bug is reproducible only if the page is loaded from network.

Expected results:

The background image should be visible always.
Reproducible on Asus Transformer android Firefox.

Reverting patch from bug 821477, fixing the problem

We'd accept a low risk uplift, but this will not block a release.

This seems to work fine using the attached static page, as well as with the two links in comment 0. Tested on Aurora 51 on Nexus 4 and Xperia Z3C devices.
