Short Description:
SuMo buddies description

Long Description:
For the buddies, mentors and trainees of the support buddy program

Justification / Special Instructions:

We need communication between all of the members in our project before we kick start it. Otherwise, there is no way for us to keep track of everything going on. IRC is inconvenient due to timezones, and not everyone uses IRC, nor wants to
Hi Tad: are there some docs somewhere about the Support Buddy program? Is the SUMO leadership on board with this idea? Getting one of them to come and endorse this request would certainly help.

Gerv
Hey gerv,
It is endorsed by the sumo team, yes. Currently there's no documentation really, since this mailing list is to help us get off the ground. I'll ask rosana to put a comment in
Since we have SUMO discussion forums on support.mozilla.org already, whey aren't we using those instead of asking people to use newsgroups? I don't think that's the path we want to take - in fact, we killed mozilla.support.planning several years ago because we wanted to dogfood our own forum software and keep all communication in one place.

Just my 2 cents.
djst: your 2 cents are worth rather a lot :-) Tad: I suggest you use the SUMO forums for coordinating your programme.

Gerv
Well, David makes a good point.
Personally, I still thin mailing lists are a better form of communication. I'll try and rethink this with rosana when I get chance

Hey Tad,

David makes a good point, let's discuss this Friday during the SUMO meeting the option of a private forum on SUMO.

Thanks!
