RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 820662

People

(Reporter: robrwo, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0
Build ID: 20130329030832

Steps to reproduce:

1. View pages with forms in private mode for Firefox v20.0.1 on an Android Tablet, where the forms normally don't disable autocorrect.
2. Fill in those forms, with words that are not normally in the dictionary.

Actual results:

The words entered in private mode ended up in the devices's user dictionary.

Expected results:

There should be no autocorrect when filling in forms while in private mode. Or at least there should be an option to disable this.
OS: Linux → Android
Hardware: x86_64 → All
A simple solution might be to automatically set the autocorrect=off attribute for form fields, though there is no guarantee that devices will honor that.
