I just got through doing a double reset on my password, as I happened to use a character that the iPhone mail app couldn't handle.

We already have special notes for vidyo users - perhaps a note for other devices (link to wiki sufficient - no need to use up real estate) would help.

Fwiw, the character that every app except iPhone mail could handle was '\' (backslash). There may be more out there - I was spectacularly unsuccessful in a web search.

So, basically you want a note added that says "If you're resetting your password from an iPhone, don't try to use a \ as it doesn't work." ?

Not quite - "If you want to use this password from an iPhone, don't use '\'".

Or a link to mana/wiki "If you're going to access from a mobile devices, consider ____"

I'm guessing there may be other gotchas in the world of mobile devices that are yet to be uncovered.

For now, I'm changing my password reset procedure to be: reset password, then try from iPhone before changing everything else. ;)

There hasn't been any response on this in over a month, I'm going to close it out. If someone wants to create the wiki page with the documentation you would like and provide me a link, I'll be more than happy to implement this change to the password reset page.

I've committed revision 68695 which adds the following block to the top of the page:
