@ Erica: would be great if we could focus this one on great *demos* -- either from Collusion or Ignite * do you have a sense of which timing might work best for those projects?
@matt: either actually -- Mitchell is presenting Collusion at a conference May 6, and Ignite should have examples to show off by then. We should set up a meeting with Dethe and David and Will and Ben to discuss.
* sounds good. Dethe, would be great to have you do a demo showing where Collusion 1.0 is headed. Is that possible?
Yes, I can do a screencast with the developer version of Collusion, but it would be hard to get that done by end of day today though. Would end of the week be acceptable?
* Thanks Dethe! Yes of course -- you won't have to actually present until May 13
Sorry, crossed my wires and didn't notice this was for all-hands. Yes, can totally do a demo at the all-hands.
Great -- Dethe let me know what you need to make it happen. Do you need design work from Chris A?
@ Dethe: and please connect with JLin if you have AV / technical questions. You'll want to connect in via Vidyo 30 mins prior to call for an AV test.
@Matt I will actually be in NYC at a documentary filmmaker hackathon. I can provide a recorded screencast demo for Monday, or be available to do this in person another time, whichever you prefer. Sorry for late notice, trying to juggle too many things.
@ Dethe: a recorded screencast that's ready for Monday would be our strong preference * 2 - 3 minutes maximum * framed around "here's a sneak peek at what's coming in Collusion 1.0" * does that work for you?
That's fine. I was aiming for 1 - 1.5 minutes, but will definitely keep it under 3. Thanks!
That's great. Do you have an estimate on when you will be able to post the screencast to this ticket?
Working on it now, will have it ready for review by end of day today.
Video is here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwcRWQCdhJy9VmJMRGF3S1NwNVE/edit Let me know if any tweaks need to be made.
@ Dethe: I'd like to create a Popcorn version of this video. Perhaps with a bit of generic music behind it. * How did you post this? Can you post it in a You Tube, webm or Popcorn-friendly version?
* cancel that. figured it out. uploading to You Tube and Popcorn-izing now. * @ JLin: I will have an updated URL for you to use shortly
Thanks, Matt! We have wifi at the Tribeca Hacks, but it's a lot of folks sharing a narrow pipe, not great for video uploads.
Just produced a Popcorn version here: http://popcorn.webmadecontent.org/11mv
Great work Dethe! Marking this one closed.
