**** observed with 2001-06-18 build *****
Steps to reproduce:
- create a filter for the IMAP account;
- enter a criteria for a filter, say Subject contains "filter", move to Trash;
- close the filter window;
- send message with "filter" in the subject line;
- get message;
//note: there are two copies of this message, one in the Inbox and the other one
in Trash

It workforme on all OS: win061905 mac 061908 and my linux debug build.
Are you by chance using "mark as deleted" in your IMAP server settings?

I have similar experience but not specific to IMAP server.
I have set up filter on some POP3 Server account. Sometimes it works sometimes
it does not.
So far I still could not come up with the exact reproduction steps. It just happen
randomly.

Win 2002 Mozbuild Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1)
Gecko/20020826
The image shows a received message in my inbox overlayed with an image of the
filter which should supress it (Look for string HGH in filter and message
body).
Some body filters from the same set do work - could this be due to the base64
encoding method or html content?
I also have suspisions that filter comparison is case sensitive. If so, this
would give spammers license for oddball spellings to evade the filters: viaGra.

This bug's original report is similar to bug 167173, except Marina's preference
is to Move Deleted Messages to Trash (comment ). There are several bugs
existing about message duplication as the result of filtering on IMAP -- some
junk specific: bug 193325, bug 196066. I'll leave to people better versed in
IMAP to determine where the dupes lie.
The summary of this bug was fairly vague, leading to comment 7, which is in fact
about some other bug -- so, I'm updating the summary.
I'm guessing Peter Wilson's account is not IMAP, since bug 67421 complains that
IMAP accounts cannot have 'body' selected as a criterion. Perhaps he
encountered bug 213614? bug 162971?
