When scrolling down, the top toolbar disappears - however, this almost invariably causes the scroll position to jump, resulting in a very visible glitch. There is a bug to track reimplementing the feature using some of the additions to Gecko for the same feature in Android, however this is not in scope for v1.0.1 or v1.1.

I would suggest that the bottom toolbar be made the same as the wrapper browser and the top toolbar just be made permanently visible. Currently, given there's apparently no need for the lower toolbar to be permanently visible (it isn't in wrapped pages), it feels like this feature isn't really serving a purpose.

I think this is important for v1.0.1 as the glitchy scrolling (and various other bugs associated with this feature) make the browser very frustrating to use at times.

I've verified that this problem exists in v1.0.1 and v1-train.
This suggestion has already been made in bug 833795. UX were not keen on this idea (Rob felt the bottom bar is more important in the context of the browser) and are exploring alternatives. There's still hope this might be fixed on the platform side.
