v.mozilla.com is taking a long time to allow people in and then showing them an error that they are logged in elsewhere. Investigating further.

Workaround: signing in with the Vidyo desktop client (Portal = https://v.mozilla.com/) worked for me — thanks jlin for the hint on IRC.
Is there a workaround for getting the client to external people? We are counting on using vidyo for a meeting with a bunch of contributors today and when they try to click on the direct link to my meeting room they can't download the client.
As far as I can tell, "signing in with the Vidyo desktop client" is not possible on Linux — /opt/vidyo/VidyoDesktop/VidyoDesktop does not present any kind of interface until it's signalled by the Flash content.
You can sign-in on Linux by using the tray icon of the Vidyo application. That works fine for me with Unity on Ubuntu 12.10.
There is no “tray icon”, because I don't have a “tray”. I could perhaps determine what X11 window properties need to exist to satisfy it in this respect, but my patience for reverse-engineering proprietary software to make it work as expected is limited.
The v.mozilla.com workflow seems to have started working again as of 11:00 PDT (UTC-7). I don't know if this reflects things actually being fixed or if the problem is intermittent.
There was work done to fix it. We are still testing to determine if the issue is completely resolved.
