The toggle of each volume should be enabled by default. The current behavior is confusing.

Please provide more information on what the current behaviour is here, what the expected behaviour should be, and what user story this might relate to before nominating as a potential v1.1 blocker.

STR:
 - Open settings app
 - Enter "Media Storage"
 - Enable USB storage

Current behavior:
 - The 'share using USB' checkbox is off.

Expected behavior:
 - The 'share using USB' checkbox should be turned on automatically.

The expected behavior should be refined by UX team. The point here is, users may be confused about whether the USB storage is enabled or not when seeing these two checkboxes in different states.

I think what Arthur is requesting here is that the USB Mass storage mode be turned on by default?

If this is the case, I caution against this since many users will plug their phones into a computer to charge only and if USB mass storage is turned on without the users knowledge they risk sharing their data to whatever host they are plugged into.

The better solution would be to on-connection with a USB host to prompt the user if they would like to charge or enable usb storage.   See bug 809764 for details.
