Steps to reproduce:

I did a print to file .pdf of a webpage. I selected my desktop for the saved file. Instead, firefox always saves the file to /home.


Actual results:

Rather than save to desktip, firefox always saves the file to /home.


Expected results:

It should have saved to the desktop, as requested

Works for me with the latest Nightly build, build ID: 20130513031057.

Could you please also try the following, to see if you still reproduce the issue :

1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Are you sure this is PDF viewer component? I think reporter is referring to problems with print to pdf which is served by GTK print dialog.
Something like users hit there: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=888080
