Details
User Agent: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.0; U; de) Presto/2.10.289 Version/12.02
Steps to reproduce:
Install Mozilla Firefox and selected %ProgramFiles%\Mozilla\Firefox\ as installation directory.
Actual results:
Mozilla Firefox installed into selected directory, but Mozilla Maintenance Service installed into other, WRONG directory.
Expected results:
Either install Mozilla Maintenance Service into the user-selected directory of Firefox, or let the user select the installation directory of Mozilla Maintenance Service (at least when the user changed the installation directory of Mozilla Firefox).
I dont want to have several directories "Mozilla <something>" in %ProgramFiles%.

During the design and security review for the maintenance service it was decided that users should not be allowed to specify the installation directory for the maintenance service along with there only being one installation of the maintenance service.

The Firefox installer fails to inform the user that it ignores the user-selected installation directory for the Maintenance Service.
There is enough room for an appropriate text on the page of the installer where the user can (de)select to install the Maintenance Service.
Add it there!

I previously discussed adding this info with Firefox UX and they decided that the vast majority of users would not find this information valuable. In the future do not change fields on bugs.
