I think we have a usability issue here reproduce procedure: 1. open Edit:Prerence 2. select Navigator:Helper Applications 3. click "New Type" Button 4. a "New Type" dialog show up 5. there are a check mark said "Use this MIME as the outgoing type for these file extensions" But the text always gray out and the check mark always disable. I think we should consider the following; 1. be clear what does "outgoing" mean. 2. allow user to check the checkbox or remove that check box.

This is probably an unimplemented feature. I'm guessing that it's for setting the MIME type when you upload files via <input type="file"/>. In that case the checkbox should be something like | | [/] Use this MIME type when attaching files with these extensions QA, please file a separate bugs on the fact that although the checkbox is disabled, (1) it can still be clicked and (2) its label is still enabled.
this was fixed [ie, removed] in bug 87713. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 87713 ***
