User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:22.0) Gecko/20130510 Firefox/22.0 Iceweasel/22.0a2
Build ID: 20130510004016
Steps to reproduce:
Browsed a webpage that flashed an alert.
Actual results:
It closed too fast for me to finish reading it.
I looked in Tools > and couldn't find any console where those messages are kept.
Expected results:
They should be kept on some console somewhere!
And maybe there should be a config option to help deal with them...

I personally do not understand what kind of alert it is about.

jidanni, have you checked to see if this happens in Safe Mode? I am wondering if you may have picked up some malware.
Can you give an example of a site where an alert message that you can't catch, that isn't logged, is coming up for you?

It's on ragii.com which is in a foreign language and needs an account etc. etc. and it only happens when you do special action XYZ and then do ABC... Anyways, just imagine a simple javascript that pops up an alert but contains a timer http://www.google.com/search?q=javascript+timed+alert ... OK we see it needs more than just Javascript. But anyway, imagine if one is an older slower user and it snaps shut before you are finished reading it...

Is the webpage really showing a native alert?
The built in dialog can't be closed by the webpage. It sounds like the webpage makes an alert lookalike (ex. through jquery ui dialog[1]), firefox has no control over it and it's more of a bug for that webpage/framework.

Well if Firefox can block pop-up windows, mixed http/s, etc. why can't it also do something about that too?

Cause to firefox it's just javascript and elements in the page, it doesn't know what it does.
That it happens to look like a dialog makes no difference.
