Right now auto-complete lists results in alphabetical order.  A good enhancement
to the feature might be to track what options are selected the most, and listing
them in that order.  While this is definately not a requirement, it would be a
nice convenience feature.
well, hewitt and I have talked about this for a long time, and now we have a bug!

The way we'd basically do it would be to have a weighting function such that
weight is a function of 
1) Whether or not the user has ever typed the url or not
2) Visit count of the URL
3) Last visit date of the URL

I don't mean to be pedantic, but this has been mentioned several times in bug 78268.

I think this would be the most useful autocomplete enhancement ever. It'd be
better than however the matches are ranked at the moment (either alphabetically,
by length or by last visited - I forget which).
