The page on the Event object is a weird combination of semi-reference page and introduction to events; this needs to be strictly a reference page, which should link to pages under Web/Guide/Events introducing events and about the event model.
I do agree. I have this on my to-do list (slowly, but surely, making its path to the top of it).
I'm closing this: the page has been fixed to be a reference page (though it could be improved)
