STR: * Plug in headphones. (This may not be necessary.) * adb reboot * Start playing something in the music app. Set it to loop infinitely. * Press the home button * Call the b2g phone. When it starts ringing, hang up on the calling phone. Do this a few times. When you hang up, the music should start playing again. But after a few calls, it doesn't. Once we get into this situation, the music player indicates that the track is playing (as opposed to paused), but the time on the track doesn't advance, and no sound is produced. Killing and restarting the music app doesn't fix this; I have to reboot the phone. I think this may be a bug in the audio channel service.
Tested on a Hamachi. Gecko: http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-b2g18_v1_0_1/rev/08196b630a4a or https://github.com/mozilla/mozilla-central/commit/1770344170bcfc9b512f0fb3cedd69bd07f2fc88 Gaia: 57188a05fe5b669fc98bfcc18a49c9b3effdac06
I haven't yet been able to reproduce this on Ikura device, using: Gecko http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-b2g18_v1_0_1/rev/0b6bcb1f4175 Gaia 9648799c2e45917ff150fa9eef8aeac79a9ac008 BuildID 20130515070203 Version 18.0 I have a song playing in a loop and after 6 calls the music app has restarted each time.
Justin, QA has tried to reproduce your STR in the description on a shipping device close to production build in comment # 2 and we have had no luck reproducing it, So not blocking on this for now. If you are able to reproduce it consistently with anymore information helpful to QA can you please renom and add qawanted back ?
I haven't been able to reproduce this after I updated my Gaia to Marcia's rev. So let's just say that we fixed this, and cross our fingers. I'll re-open if I can reproduce. Thanks.
