The memory leak

Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130511120803
Steps to reproduce:
opened firefox, ran for a while, opened and closed tabs.
Actual results:
in every firefox version I have used, the memory rises up and it eventually gets to a point of no return, where firefox will have alo t of very common lag spikes (text imput made during the spike/freeze gets mixed and mangled), and the only solution is to close and re-open(or restart) firefox. and this happens in NO OTHER browser, just firefox, and happens on all systems I have ran firefox on. this is VERY annoying, and has happened since the first firefox version I installed (3.6) and continues today.in the latest versions.
Expected results:
the memory leak should not happen, and the lag spikes/ brief (and sometimes 5 or more seconds long) lag spikes that mess up text input should NOT be there.
this bug is the one thing I hate about firefox.

Your post here is a usage case. Please post this on http://support.mozilla.org/
By now, the severe memory leaks in Firefox have been patched. General memory usage is not a "bug".
Please copy everything from about:memory?verbose and about:telemetry into separate text files when this is happening and attach them here, which you can then link to on the support site.
