Steps to reproduce:

Restart Firefox 21 after Windows 7 freezed and reboot


Actual results:

Well, this is embarrassing." window does not appear and "Restore previous session", "Recently Closed Tabs", "Recently Closed Windows" are all greyed so all previously opened tabs/sessions are ALL GONE without record left!!!


Expected results:

Well, this is embarrassing." window should appear for restoration. CAUTION! This bug only appears for Firefox 21 and I can restore easily and successfully in Firefox 20 or below

Finally, I cannot bear this BIG BUG and I uninstall 21 and go back to 20 that's why the user agent shown is 20. This bug makes me many essential tab/session records lost!!!

I don't think there is a bug in FF21, it's likely related to Windows freeze. You lost your current tabs, probably the same if another application was open before Windows froze.

Why is it related to Windows freeze? If the backup mechanism is well enough, everything can be restored after Windows crash anytime. Moreover, I did not open any application except Firefox

do you have a sesssionstore.js file after windows hung?
is it corrupt?
