87455 - error when attempt to create new message compose window

When I goto File | new | message, 
I get an error dialog message that says:
"An error occoured while creating a message compose window. Please try again. T"

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Build & install Mozilla on FreeBSD 4.3-stable
2.Try to write a new email message.


Actual Results:  I got the specified error message.

Expected Results:  It should have let me write a new message.

Workaround: Create an account to recieve mail on.
(I was originally trying to use Moz for sending mail only and had specified an
smtp server but no POP/IMAP accounts)
This makes the bug less of an issue but I still think that I should be able to
only use it for outgoing mail if I want to.

Can you please explain. You did not have any mail account set up? How were you 
sending mail with out setting up any mail accounts? Can you give me steps as to 
how your settings were when you saw this error.

I guess I had misconfigured it.
I specified a sendmail server but no actual mail accounts, thinking that that
would enable me to send mail, even though I would be unable to recieve it.
