From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.1+) Gecko/20010622 BuildID: 2001062211 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Fire up the little Notepad or other apps. 2. Fire up Mozilla. 3. Go to http://www.hotmail.com/ 4. As soon as you launch the URL, switch to Notepad or other apps. 5. After Hotmail is loaded (Done), switch back to Mozilla. 6. You can see the caret is blinking in the "Sign-In Name" textbox. 7. Try to change focus to other fields by tabbing. Actual Results: Caret sticks to the username textbox. Tabbing fails to change keyboard focus. Expected Results: Tabbing should change keyboard focus to other field. I am on 56k modem connection. Don't know if you can perform Step 4 quickly enough before the page finished loading for higher speed connections.
Can anyone else reproduce this test case? I cannot.
I think I should add some more info on reproducing the bug. When you launch notepad, you have to position notepad such that it blocks the "Sign-In Name" or "Password" field (or both) of the Hotmail login page in order to see the bug. The cursor will not blink when you saw the bug. The bug still happens on Win32 build 2001071710.
I attempted to reproduce this as well and couldn't. We had a number of similar problems a while back. This may have gotten picked up on the way.
