Details

We've got a few reports of activation failures from MSNNow. When the problem occurs, activation of *any* provider fails. Affected users restarting with a clean profile are able to activate the providers. It may be related to addons, though a quick test (by QA and myself) of the addons listed by one user did not reproduce the problem. Those addons are: Firebug Social Fixer Wondershare Video Converter (installed with Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate from wondershare.com) Possible causes: - Social Fixer caused alert dialog errors on facebook (for me), maybe something else in that addon is causing different issues for other users - user previously used socialapi (unknown if this is the case) and some preference conflict exists - addons are causing problems on some platforms, not all
further information about addons that may be causing a problem, though with my testing I still cannot recreate the issue (though I have Adobe Contribute Toolbar 6.5): Social Fixer 7.501, Video Converter 3.1.0, Adobe Contribute Toolbar 6.0, Sothink Web Video Downloader for Firefox 6.10
