Steps to reproduce:

Sent mail - Edit as New gets me a message with 60 recipients. I have to delete these one at a time to resend to a couple of people.


Actual results:

Deleted addresses one at a time by tabbing twice and pressing delete for each address


Expected results:

I would like to right click and "Clear all adresses"

I have run into this problem at least once a month. I would appreciate you adding this feature.

As an enhancement this is interesting. I am not sure how hard it would be to add a new item into the context menu.

This is part of the general design problem that we don't offer manipulating multiple recipients in one go, which is bug 136897. Leaving open for pursuing this sub-part and the implementation idea of context menu.

The current context menu of recipient input field looks like the default context context menu for text input fields. Is it possible to add new commands there?
This looks like a similar implementation issue like bug 1044336 / bug 1148751.

There was a nice add-on call "RecipientBox that did all the "multiple" recipients manipulations.

Building on the ingenious recipient area overhaul by Alex (aleca) in bug 440377, I have enabled this in bug 1615917 (soon to be released):

• With focus or selection in any recipient field, press Ctrl+A two times to select all of same field / all message recipients respectively, then press DEL key on keyboard to delete all recipients in one go. Which satisfies this RFE.
