Steps to reproduce:

Updated Aurora to latest version via update channel.



Actual results:

Home page search bar changed from google (previous) to en.wikipedia.org


Expected results:

should have parsed and sent info to google to search.

Uninstalled DuckDuckGo 0.2.3x, checked if search bar returned. no.
Rebooted FireFox after DDG Removed. still had DDG as search element (image2)

Re-Install DDG add on.

click on tools in search bar at upper right of page.
click on 'manage search engine'

find ALL keywords are gone in search engines!

I'm a bit confused Richard. Can you please provide a better description of what is happening here? 

1. Install Firefox Aurora 23.0a2 2013-05-26 and start with a new profile
2. Install DuckDuckGo Plus 0.2.25 from addons.mozilla.org
> Asked if I want DuckDuckGo added to my search engines
3. Click Add
> Search Bar search engine is set to DuckDuckGo
> Awesomebar search engine remains Google
> Home page remains as default about:home page
4. Change default search engine back to Google.com
5. Check for and install Aurora updates then restart Aurora
> Search Bar search engine remains set to Google
> Awesomebar search engine remains set to Google
> Home page remains set to about:home

Under these circumstances I cannot reproduce what you are seeing. Please provide more details so we can attempt to reproduce what you are seeing. If you can no longer reproduce this please resolve this bug WORKSFORME.

Similar type of action that is happening in this bug here.

However, my experience was with my ongoing profile, not a new one in the presupposition described.

Only after Upgrade to 2013-05-27 of Aurora 23s2, did this appear, and now with 23.0a2 2013-06-04 (update 26 MB)appears not to be taking place.

To me, it is unknown if resolved at this point. Will Test with fresh download and empty profile.
