User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130512194328

Steps to reproduce:

I opened the firefox home page(about:home) and typed a string in the search bar and pressed enter

Actual results:

It is not responding or loading the page, just remaining static, looks like search is not working

Expected results:

it should have showed the search result or atleast the page should have loaded
This is duplication of Bug 866254, if you set "Never Remember History" in preferences/Privacy or Private Window.
I had set the "Never Remember History" , but the same result. It is not resolved
WFM with the latest Nightly build (build ID: 20130603031140) on an Ubuntu 12.10 32bit machine.

Could you please try the following, to see if you still reproduce the issue :

1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Component: Untriaged → Search
Closing this based on comment 4, but please reopen the bug if you can still reproduce the issue.
