per philor: can't, or can't reliably, create directories and/or files in TMPDIR for the cppunittests that expect it to.

May be worth running disk diagnostics.

There was an issue with Techtools Pro 6, every time I run it and check back. The diagnostics session stop and doesn't leave a report behind. 

Will try another method of diagnostic, I will update on it as soon as possible.

Ran diagnostic multiple times, unfortunately host has an issue of freezing during diagnostic and can't recover.

What is the next step you would like me to pursue?

What do you think is the problem? a bad disk? do we have a spare disk to try?

Did the initial reimaging work? I can't ssh or VNC into the machine.

:armenzg, the reimage process went through the first time with no hitch. 

:hubear, the host should still be under warranty. Please drop this off at an Apple store for repairs.
