Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130511120803 Steps to reproduce: Steps to reproduce: 1. Single right-click on Firefox Taskbar Icon 2. Selecting 'Enter Private Browsing' Actual results: It opens a 'New Window' Expected results: I think that this may be because of the earlier Permanent Private Browsing mode but since per window private browsing is in use so this option is redundant Perhaps it should be renamed to 'Open new private window' and should be opening a New Private Window instead of an 'ordinary' one.

I'm not sure where the Enter Private Browsing label is coming from (and don't have a Windows machine to investigate); the jump list code refers to opening a private window.

(In reply to comment #1) > I'm not sure where the Enter Private Browsing label is coming from (and don't > have a Windows machine to investigate); the jump list code refers to opening a > private window. Maybe from an older version firefox before Firefox 20 (which was the first version of Firefox which supported private browsing)?

(In reply to :Ehsan Akhgari (needinfo? me!) from comment #2) > Maybe from an older version firefox before Firefox 20 (which was the first > version of Firefox which supported private browsing)? That's what I think too. But since permanent private browsing is not used now, it should not be present.

So I think Windows asks each application about these entries, and saves them somewhere so that it can still display the menu when the app is not running. Brian, Jim, do you know where this stuff is saved and why it may stop getting updated?

Well caused by bug 755724 and fixed by bug 870529, can you retry on tomorrow's nightly?

Thanks, Brian. Onkar, it would be great if you could test tomorrow's Nightly build. You can grab it from http://nightly.mozilla.org/. Thanks!

We're trying to evaluate the risk of getting this fix into Firefox 22 at this point. If that doesn't happen, this will be fixed in Firefox 23. Thanks a lot for your bug report!
