STR:
1) Visit mozilla.org in IE10
2) notice that the Firefox OS slider image has an issue with the fonts

Looks like it might need an Access-Control-Allow-Origin header set for the font files when served from the CDN?
Any idea why this just started happening? Or why it isn't an issue for the other fonts? It is the only font (for IE) that uses the .eotlite extension (rather than just .eot). Perhaps the Access-Control-Allow-Origin settings aren't enabled for that extension?

That could likely be it - but as to why it only just started happening however, I'm not sure.

For what it's worth, here are the font values I used to mock this up in PS.

Hrm... The PSD we worked from for this promo (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=836048#c9) was using MetaPlusBlack-Italic. Is that incorrect?
Steven, you're correct. The original art used MetaPlusBlack-Italic, but we replaced using that font in our marketing materials for Open Sans ExtraBold Italic (a close match) for the Firefox OS headlines. Opting for the open font

Ah, that may work well. Shall we replace the Meta font with the appropriate Open Sans variant? That may automatically for our issue here anyhow.
Automatically *fix* our issue, that is.
Sure, if you want to replace where ever Meta is used for FirefoxOS that should be fine. You may need to tweak font size and tracking to match it up, though. I think the Open Sans renders a bit bigger and wider. Thanks!
Ok, pull request to update the home page and tabzilla promo with the Open Sans variant: https://github.com/mozilla/bedrock/pull/970
