When a user gets prompted to move the target content to fullscreen on X origin, there should be an option to remember my choice on my decision I make for fullscreen for that origin. So that in the future, I can reuse that same decision again if I request fullscreen on that origin.
Created attachment 770017 [details] Repro video (In reply to Jason Smith [:jsmith] from comment #0) Hi Jason, Are you seeing the same issue as what I see here, please refer to my video attachment. Description: There is 'Remember' option in the fullscreen prompt. However, it doesn't REMEMBER my selection. Expected: The 'Remember' option should remember my selection and doesn't prompt me next time. I think for leo release we should just remove the remember function from 'fullscreen' request screen, because (1) gecko doesn't support this, (2) On desktop browser there's no remember function.
When I originally filed this bug there wasn't the UI you are showing here - which means someone likely landed the front-end implementation in Gaia without landing the Gecko pieces. FWIW, gecko putting content fullscreen and remembering a decision. See any HTML 5 video you could watch on the web - this use case is supported. I'll file a separate bug for turning this UX off and nominate it for leo. I'm pulling the nomination here though cause this is too late to include into the 1.1 timeframe as a feature.
