Using the search sidebar with bugzilla is unfriendly because it only displays
the bug numbers, not any form of description.

The sherlock spec recommends that search engines should delineate search results
with known, constant strings (HTML comments) e.g. <!-- RESULT START --> so that
Sherlock plugins can reliably determine the extent of the result.

If bugzilla did this, I think it would be possible to have both the number and
the name of the bug displayed in the search sidebar, much improving the usefulness
XML queries might help with this, too. I think Sherlock can read XML...

See bug 48707.

The User Interface component now belongs to Gerv. Reassigning all UNCONFIRMED
and NEW (but not ASSIGNED) bugs currently owned by Myk (the previous component
owner) to Gerv.

Reassigning back to Myk. That stuff about Gerv taking over the User Interface
component turned out to be short-lived. Please pardon our confusion, and I'm
very sorry about the spam.

We now have the FF2 and IE7 quicksearch plugin, and that should work pretty well, being standards-based.
