878022 - Up dated to 21 About confirms I am on 21 but my security software says I am not, Control Pannel Programs and feature says I am on 20.1 I have tried but cannot delete 20

Steps to reproduce:

I was invited to upgrade to Firefox 21 which I did after my security programs had been upgraded to handle 21 . I was told that this installation was successful. I am using Windows 7 64Bit


Actual results:

When I tried to reset one of my security programs to 21 I was told that I did not have this version installed. I then went to Programs and features where the Firefox program is shown as 20.1 not 21. I thought I might resolve the issue by removing 20.1 but the uninstall does not function.


Expected results:

20.1 should have been fully replaced by 21 and in the alternative I should be able to delete it.
