hootsuite.com serves a desktop site to B2G. Bug 823364 added an UA override for this domain. The override should be removed once the domain serves mobile content to B2G. This bug tracks the evangelism for the site to recognize the B2G UA and the removal of the override at that time.

Ok This is not exactly a case of mobile detection for using the site.

WITH UA override on the ZTE (Firefox OS).

1. http://hootsuite.com/ is redirected to https://hootsuite.com/mobile-landing?skip=%2F
2. The page proposes the user to download an Android app.
3. You can decide to go to skip for now, which is hidden under the fold (and difficult to reach).
4. Select "Skip for now", you are redirected to the home page https://hootsuite.com/ which is for the Desktop browser.
5. if you return to the site you go directly to the home page (I suspect a cookie)

(Same for Firefox for Android, Android stock browser, Opera Mobile)

WITHOUT UA override on the ZTE (Firefox OS).
You are being directed directly to the desktop site.

It seems pointless to have a UA override for having a screen which is useless. On the other hand, I'm curious to know what is happening for people with an account at Hootsuite once they logged in.

Further tests on iPod Touch.
Entering the domain name leads to https://hootsuite.com/mobile-landing-iphone-new-signup?skip=%2F which is a web form for entering the site.

hmm… now the skip for now on Android is not working. On Firefox OS, the device still does not receive any mobile version.
Tried to ask again on @mozwebcompat account
Contacted a Simon at HootSuite to ask if this bug makes any sense. Aka there seems to not be any mobile version of the site, just apps.
After contacting

> At the moment we have no official mobile site — Simon Stanlake, CTO | HootSuite

Closing as INVALID. When they have a mobile site, I proposed to have them pinging us if they have any issues.
