This is like Bug #856832, we'd like to run a link to a survey in snippets at a 1% rate.

Oh, I see. Your intent was to have the survey show up 1% of the time? That's not something we can do right now without some extra dev work that will probably make this snippet go out way later than you want.

With bug #856832 we took a single snippet and replaced it 1% of the time (eventually 10%) which is easy (copy-paste, pretty much). Hence why I asked which one. :)

I think with 1%, we can basically replace any of the existing snippets with little actual impact. I think even 3% would be fine. I just don't know what's already there.

The way this works is we have a snippet that for 95-99% of the time shows something like an existing snippet (a newsletter callout for example) and 1-5% of the time shows a survey. (We can tweak the numbers but it should be in that range)

We usually just replace an existing snippet with this one so it loses 5% of its impressions.  The question is which one to replace.

Sorry for the delay on this, Winston is out right now. I'm moving the needinfo request to Michaela Thayer instead, who is helping me fill in for Winston while he's out.

Michaela: Can you create an mzl.la link for the link in comment 1, and can you recommend a snippet that we will have be replaced 10% of the time with this survey? If not, I can just pick one (in that case, it would be useful to know if there are any snippets that won't be going away within the next month or so).

Michael - is there a go-to Snippit that Winston usually replaces for other timely Snippets such as this one (i.e. Firefox for Android, which would be my guess)? If not, I will text Winston. I don't know what agreements there are in place with other departments and want to make sure that by replacing a Snippet, we don't fall down on our end of an agreement. Let me know.

Nope, we've only ever done this once before and it was aimed at replacing a specific snippet. However, replacing the Firefox for Android snippet sounds like a decent plan to me if you're okay with it.

The Android snippet is set to go down on the 30th, so this fits perfectly!

I've added the survey to the Android snippet on production and it's set to replace the Android snippet 10% of the time. Let me know if you want any changes. :)
