Mixed content blocking is a feature that prevents insecure elements on secure pages from loading. In Firefox 23, this feature will default to blocking "active" insecure content, which may break some web sites. More information on Firefox's Mixed Content Blocker is below: http://blog.mozilla.org/tanvi/2013/04/10/mixed-content-blocking-enabled-in-firefox-23/ The security feature is currently breaking the HTTPS version of www.youtube.com/edit. It also appears to be functioning incorrectly in IE10. https://www.youtube.com/edit should render and function like http://www.youtube.com/edit, but it doesn't because some HTTP resource(s) are not loaded. Here is a list of the active, HTTP resources that were blocked: Blocked loading mixed active content "http://www.youtube.com/embed/[REDACTED]" @ https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id=[REDACTED]&ns=1
Original report with some screenshots: (In reply to Brandon Park from comment #10) > Part of Youtube is broken. When going to edit a video from your video > manager it blocks the video. Below are two pictures one being without the > video with mixed content blocker on, and the other with the video and with > mixed content blocker disabled on the website. > > Without Video: http://flickr.com/gp/96676561@N06/84js6r > > With Video: http://flickr.com/gp/96676561@N06/71Q7sU
It also looks like there is a mixed active content on the https://www.youtube.com/my_videos page Blocked loading mixed active content "http://www.google.com/support/youtube/api/answer/2974269/guidedhelp?hl=en_US&callback=_callbacks_._0hhici54y" @ https://ssl.gstatic.com/inproduct_help/guide/guide_inproduct.js:38 The https equivalent link exists. Sending this over to some folks at Chrome Security, hoping they can pass it along to the right youtube contacts.
Youtube is working on fixing this.
I no longer see this issue any mixed content issues when I go to the video edit or my_videos page. Mihai or Matt, can you verify?
Mixed content issues seems to have been fixed. Should we close?
